Tonight, in front of a standing room only crowd, by a unanimous vote, Worthington City Council approved a resolution to create a dog park in Worthington. The goal will be to have a dog park up and running by the end of 2010. Can you already see the tails wagging?
Congratulations to all of you who have shown your support in so many ways and worked hard to make a dog park a reality! And thank you, to all of you who came out tonight to the council meeting.
Now the work begins as we continue to support our Parks and Rec director and the Parks and Rec Commission through the process of ironing out all the details.
If you have minute, it would be really nice to drop a note, send an e-mail or place a phone call to members of council, our parks and rec director and the parks and rec commission who supported the dog park initiative and who will be working hard to build the best dog park for Worthington dog owners and their canine friends.
